Compare 'manual/programmed' replication versus automatic.
1) Setup two MySQL databases on two distinct computers connected by a network (or one computer and one virtual machine)
2) Make a program that 'copies' everything new on database A to database B.
3) Implement automatic replication (use text provided in class or MySQL Reference Manual)

Bonus: you may use an ETL for point (2), implementing that option gives you ONE extra point for UIII/IV exam.

Tip: there is some undocumented behavior relating to GRANT syntaxis specified on reference manual and text provided. Under windows, the slave sends the login information compossed of user and host, but not as an IP address: sends the slave DB computer name. Please duplicate sentences for user creation on master to reflect this behavior.

Be carefull to use same MySQL releases/versions on both nodes.
Error 1064 happens when user or password or host is not correctly specified.
Please disable any firewall or network protection... or open MySQL port for listening.

I wish to start this trimester giving some guidelines to better improve your learning experience:
1) Read, read, read... go beyond of what I'm asking or teaching at class
(Lean, lean, lean...vayan más allá de lo que pregunto o enseño en clase)
2) Question everything... don't take anything granted as true, knowledge must be, and it's, reviewed constantly and adjusted to fit new discoveries and paradigmas.
(Cuestionen todo... no acepten las enseñanzas como verdades absolutas, pues el conocimiento debe ser, y está, siendo revisado y ajustado constantemente para ajustarse a nuevos descubrimientos y paradigmas)
3) Break the mother language barrier... this globalized world requires us to learn more than on additional language.
(Rompan la barrera de la lengua materna, pues este mundo globalizado nos demanda aprender más de un idioma adicional)
