Assignment #1

Download and read the section Part 1-Section 1 "Introduction to the Oracle Database" of document Oracle Database Concepts 10gRelease 2 (B14220-01 ). We will discuss the reading on January 30th and 31th.

Assignment #2

Identify every Database Physical component (Page 1-6 to 1-8 of B14220-01) on a real Oracle database.
1) Document where and how are defined during database creation
2) Document the full path (folder) where are located and usual name they take.
Hint: during your Oracle installation (Laboratory #1) there is a screen where you instruct the installer to create a database besides installing the software.

Research on what platforms (Hardware and Operating System) we can install Oracle Server, and which are the requirements for every HW-OS combination.
